Mastering Anterior & Posterior Composite Restorations: Achieving Esthetics That Rival Porcelain
6.5 CE CREDITS
Instructor: David Chan, DMD, AAACD
This course will elevate participants’ skills in both anterior and posterior composite restorations, allowing them to create esthetic, functional, and long-lasting restorations that seamlessly blend with natural teeth.
Participants will gain in-depth knowledge of composite systems, shade selection, adhesive techniques, layering protocols, and finishing strategies. The course will include hands-on practice, and step-by-step guidance on both anterior and posterior restorations, ensuring predictable and repeatable results in daily clinical practice.
What You Will Learn
- Identify the optical and physical properties of composite resins.
- Explain polychromatic layering techniques to mimic natural enamel and dentin using tints and opaquers.
- Demonstrate efficient workflows for anterior and posterior composite restorations.
- Evaluate techniques for achieving proper anatomical contour and occlusal morphology.
- Assess adhesive protocols to eliminate post-operative sensitivity to zero.
- Develop finishing and polishing techniques to achieve porcelain-like esthetics.
Who Should Attend?
This course is geared toward restorative clinicians who want to master the concepts to predictably create and excel in direct composite restorations that rival porcelain.
PLEASE NOTE: If you wear magnification loupes while practicing, we recommend you bring them to this hands-on course.
